It's a Boy!

My brother and his wife just had the identifying ultra-sound and found out that they are going to have a boy. Odds are that Trey (WSM III) will be here around the end of Dec, early Jan.

I'm really excited about this for them, I know his wife wanted a girl, and while my brother feigned impartiality, I know he wanted a boy. Every guy who has ever played sports longs for a boy to pass along his wisdom. With as much as he loves golf, of course my brother dreams of churning out a pro golfer, and who knows, with enough dedication he may just succeed.

I'm sure within 2 years they'll be trying for another kid and I hope this time it's a girl, that way she'll have an older brother to protect her.

HP & The Half-Blood Prince

So I picked it up Saturday morning instead of Friday night, although it would've been fun to be out with all the Potter fanatics. I had the book read by Midnight Sunday, although I'm sure I could've had it done sooner if I had tried.

This was the first time I'd read a HP book as I had watched the first 3 movies, and audiobooked the next two books. I was greatly impressed with JK Rowlings writing. However I must say that I am quite pissed at her. You see, now I have to wait a long time for the finale. Damnit!
